How to choose and install the LED lights for your boat, if 3M adhesive backing of LED strips doesn't work?

1.Choose DC 12V waterproof 3528 Flexible Lighting led strips.Led lights are very bright and really bring the bait fish in.

2.The most common problem people seem to have is LED strips not sticking to the surface. It's ALL about prep. You can't just "stick em on" and expect them to hold. Like anything, clean the surface good and make sure you get all of the dirt, wax, and oils off the surface. I used starting fluid sprayed on a rag before applying them to my boat. Two months later of being off and on the water they are holding up as good as the day I put them on. Plenty bright on the water at night. A lot brighter than I though they would be. The green lights placed just under the outer gunwale works well for fishing and drawing baitfish to the boat, but the light is not oppressive to spook fish. Face the light OUT, and not down. After about 20-30 minutes and baitfish had moved in we could see the predator fish in the 20" range start moving through.

3.If 3M Adhesive backing doesn't hold very well. Use Automotive weatherstrip adhesive or buying an epoxy for this kind of application.
